Short-term missions trips
Water Ambassadors Canada has offered drill trips and repair trips for the last five years and will continue to offer these trips. Our travels have allowed us to see the need for other technologies that can help change lives with clean water. In many locations in the developing world there is an abundance of water but it is not safe to drink. The locals are forced to drink the water because there is not a clean alternative.
We now have two new technologies available to us that will radically change the lives of those we can reach with these amazingly simple and portable units. The McGuire Water Purifier uses salt and a 12 volt battery to purify water and is very reliable under developing world conditions. We also now have the Sawyer membrane/filter that fits inside a simple bucket and removes bacteria and impurities for as little as $50 per unit.
